K-Pop Girl: Legacy
Book Three in the K-Pop Girl Series

Excerpt from Chapter 1
“Let’s eat quickly. Doo-joon will wake up soon and I’ll need to feed him before I get back to work.” Sun-hee placed a piece of chicken in Jun-young's bowl. “Thank you for coming on your free day. I haven’t been very productive lately. By the time I tuck him in for the night, I can’t concentrate enough.”

“I’m enjoying it. He seems to have accepted me. He’s such a happy baby.”

“I know. I’m spoiled, but thankful.” She pointed to his shoulder. “You really don’t mind that he’s making a mess on your clothes?”

“They’ll wash. But to be honest, I’m even surprised that it doesn’t bother me. I guess I must really love you.”

Her chopsticks froze halfway to her mouth. “Wh—what did you say?”

Jun-young walked around the table, took her hand, and drew her from her chair. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. “I love you, Sun-hee-ya. And I had this grand plan for how I would tell you, with flowers and candlelight, but I can’t wait anymore.”

Fool! his brain said. Now you sound like you just want to sleep with her! “Wait, that didn’t come out right. I didn’t mean it like that.” He shook his head. “I was afraid you would read it in my eyes before I could say it properly. So, I’m sorry,” he stuttered to a halt. “But I love you.” He held his breath, watching different expressions play across her face.

And then she smiled. “What, exactly, are you sorry about?”
“That I’m telling you here, without flowers or even a gift to back up my confession.” He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. “I’m in love with you, Kim Sun-hee. You and little Doo-joon are the two most important people in my life.”
